89th Street Beach is one of my go-to locations for beach photography in Virginia Beach because it has everything you need for natural, candid images.
You get open sand, soft ocean light, and plenty of space for movement. It works especially well for family sessions, engagement photos, and summer mini sessions.
Sunset here is where the magic really happens. The light softens, colors warm up, and everything feels a little more cinematic without needing any setup at all.
Red Wing Park, Virginia Beach
Red Wing Park is perfect if you want something a little more greenery-focused while still staying local to Virginia Beach.
The open paths, trees, and soft natural light make it ideal for:
